Our Mission
My name is Renan, and I grew up in Brazil, between two things that never left me. On one side, the forest, alive and endless, the place that raised me. On the other, people the world had decided to forget, a poverty you were not supposed to see. You carry both as a child, and one day you stop calling it normal.
The forest I mean is the Mata Atlântica, the Atlantic Forest of the coast. My weekends and my summers belonged to it, Bertioga, Camburi, Ubatuba, Ilhabela, and that is where I learned to love the wild.
Son of Nature began as music, long before it was ever a shirt. It was the name I made my songs under, and to me that name is a promise. A son owes something to the ground that raised him. So this was never a brand that borrows the wild to sell you a feeling. It answers to it.
Every collection begins as one real place, and one of my songs. Its animals, its rivers, its fire at night. Five percent of every sale goes home, to that place and to the people who belong to it, because to me they were always one and the same. There is no saving the forest without the hands that have protected it for thousands of years, our ancestors, the first guardians of nature.
I want to keep this honest, so I keep it in the open. Every collection names its place, its cause, and exactly what we give: five percent of every sale. If I cannot prove it, I will not say it.
More than selling anything, I want this to wake something up. To bring a little awareness to the places and the people that need it, and a little hope along with it. I am not naive about how much is broken in the world, but I still believe we can change it, slowly, in small ways, together. If a song or a shirt makes one more person stop and care, then it is already doing its work.
This was never really about a t-shirt. It is about belonging to the places that made us, and holding them while we still can. I am still at the beginning, learning as I go, and grateful for every person who chooses to wear a piece of it.

About the business
Son of Nature is an independent apparel and music brand, founded and run by Renan from Kaua'i, Hawaii. We sell garment-dyed tees, caps, stickers and fine art prints, alongside the songs each collection is built around.
Every piece is made to order. Nothing is held in stock. Once you order, the piece is printed by our production partners and shipped to you, usually within 2 to 5 business days of ordering. Because each piece is made for you, we cannot take returns for the wrong size or a change of mind, but anything damaged or misprinted we replace or refund.
